KatadataOTO – PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) has just released an updated version of the Kijang Innova Reborn. Looking at the information on its official website, only the diesel engine variant is now available.

The price list for the gasoline Innova Reborn is no longer available. Customers are offered only two choices: models with manual or automatic transmission.

Previously, the Innova Reborn was available with a gasoline engine option. However, the diesel variant seems to be more in demand and still contributes significantly to Toyota's overall wholesales (distribution from factory to dealer).

When confirmed, PT TAM affirmed that the Toyota Kijang Innova Reborn is now only offered in the diesel variant.

“That's correct, we are no longer continuing the sale of the gasoline type,” said Jap Ernando Demily, Marketing Director of PT TAM to KatadataOTO, on Monday (01/12).

He emphasized that consumers can now consider the latest generation of the Innova, namely the Innova Zenix.

The Toyota Kijang Innova Zenix is not available with a diesel engine type. There are only two powertrain configurations: gasoline or one equipped with hybrid technology.

“So customers can still choose the model that best suits their preferences and mobility needs,” Ernando affirmed.

Speaking of the Innova Reborn update, Ernando revealed that an exterior refresh was given so the product can maintain a modern look.

“This refresh is also supported by several other touches to the exterior that further enhance the overall appearance of the vehicle,” Ernando revealed.

As for the interior, the diesel Innova Reborn is equipped with a nine-inch head unit that now has integrated Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Regarding wholesales, it has been observed that since the beginning of the year, the distribution of gasoline Innova Reborn units from the factory to dealers has been zero.

Meanwhile, the diesel type continues to be distributed. In the January-October 2025 period, the figure was recorded at 24,085 units.

With high consumer interest, Toyota will still maintain this line in the future.

Toyota has confirmed that the production of the Innova Reborn will continue alongside the Kijang Innova Zenix.

“Until consumers get tired of it (the Innova Reborn will be sold),” said Bob Azam, Vice President Director of PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN) in Karawang some time ago.
