KatadataOTO – PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN) once again held the Logistics Skill Contest. This event aims to strengthen and enhance the competence of logistics partners in achieving a resilient supply chain that can contribute on a national scale.

For TMMIN, logistics plays a crucial role in the smoothness of the supply chain. Therefore, extra efforts to improve quality are very important.

“Logistics plays a major role in enhancing competitiveness in all aspects, including Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost," said Nandi Julyanto, President Director of TMMIN in his written statement (22/06).

He also expressed his hope that vendor management can continue to enhance Green Logistics activities that are currently being implemented. Starting from areas like Eco Driving Management, Eco Driving Behaviour, and Truck Preventive Management

“These activities not only reduce CO2 emissions but also decrease vehicle fuel consumption, which overall will support the company's competitiveness,” said Nandi.

This year, 1,155 participants from 31 companies took part in the TMMIN Logistic Skill Contest 2025. The categories contested include Forklift Contest, Driving Contest, Container Yard Operation Contest, Master Trainer Contest, Manager Kaizen Contest, and Best Operation Management.

In addition, TMMIN also introduced a new category, Master Tenko. This award is judged based on a total assessment, both individually and managerially, regarding the implementation of a work readiness management system, both physical and mental.

Bob Azam, Vice President Director of TMMIN, emphasized that the company always strives to ensure an efficient and safe operational system in every distribution, stressing the importance of the role of human resources in safety aspects.

“The TMMIN Logistic Skill Contest serves as a means to strengthen the capabilities of all logistics players in facing the challenges of the automotive sector. Driving safety and the safe operation of logistics equipment are key to smooth production and customer satisfaction,” he said.

The company's commitment to development will also be maintained, especially by adding features based on Artificial Intelligence. Thanks to this, signs of fatigue or lack of focus while driving can be detected earlier.

Additionally, a driving behavior monitoring system based on the Global Positioning System will also be implemented to support eco-driving practices. It will also track the carbon footprint generated from each trip.
