KatadataOTO – Toyota Kijang Innova Reborn is still one of the Multi-Purpose Vehicles (MPVs) favored by Indonesian consumers, even after the appearance of the Zenix as the latest generation.

Therefore, PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) has not discontinued sales of this model. In fact, the latest news is that the Kijang Innova Reborn will receive an update.

Based on information provided by an Auto2000 salesperson, there are several changes made to the refreshed version of the Toyota Kijang Innova.

For example, on the current variant, the grille is a combination of black and a chromatic bezel. However, in the newest version, it changes to a Black Painted 3-Bar Grey and a black bezel, making the Innova Reborn look sportier.

The rear door garnish, which was previously the same color as the vehicle's body, has been replaced with black.

Then, the placement of the Kijang emblem has also changed. Previously on the right, it has now moved to the left, right above the Innova lettering emblem.

The head unit dimensions have also changed, becoming nine inches with the addition of wireless connectivity.

However, the exterior appearance of the newest Toyota Kijang Innova has not yet been revealed. In terms of price, it seems it will not increase too significantly.

Meanwhile, the engine specifications are believed to remain the same. The current Toyota Kijang Innova is equipped with a 2 GD FTV four-cylinder diesel engine with a 2,400 cc displacement.

The Toyota Kijang Innova is a three-row MPV with dimensions of 4,735 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width, and 1,795 mm in height. Meanwhile, its wheelbase is 2,750 mm.

There are several factors that make the Toyota Kijang Innova still a favorite among many consumers. This model still uses a rear-wheel drive (RWD) system.

It should be noted that the latest generation, the Toyota Kijang Innova Zenix, is no longer equipped with RWD, but rather with front-wheel drive.
