KatadataOTO – PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) delivered a year-end surprise with the World Premiere of the New Veloz Hybrid EV. The launch ceremony took place at the GAIKINDO Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW 2025) event.

This newest family MPV is already locally produced in Indonesia, making it a new choice for the people of the country.

This model also adds to Toyota's electrification lineup, strengthening the brand's commitment to providing sustainable mobility solutions.

“We are expanding our electrification options and promoting local production to facilitate customer access to environmentally friendly technology, while also making a real contribution to the growth of the national automotive industry,” said Hiroyuki Ueda, President Director of PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) in his speech at ICE BSD City (21/11).

The New Veloz Hybrid EV is not just about offering its advantages as a multipurpose vehicle, but also provides a new perspective on environmentally friendly cars.

As a hybrid MPV, this model offers fuel efficiency, paired with the ease of maintenance characteristic of the Toyota brand.

Equally attractive is the price tag of the New Veloz EV, which is released at Rp 299 million for orders placed until December 2025. The aforementioned price is for the V variant.

The New Veloz Hybrid EV also has robust capabilities on various road terrains. It features a 1.5L engine with the code 2NR-VEX to serve consumer needs.

Then there is also an electric motor paired with an NMC battery, which provides greater comfort while driving.

With the New Veloz Hybrid EV, consumers don't need to bother looking for a Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU).

Because this car relies on an automatic self-charging system. This system has been implemented in previous models like the Yaris Cross and Innova Zenix.

Comfort has also been given attention, thus supporting the daily mobility of its users.

Besides bringing the New Veloz Hybrid EV, the locally produced Toyota New bZ4X Battery EV was also present. This was complemented by the appearance of the New Urban Cruiser Battery EV.

Both battery-based electric cars have undergone a number of significant improvements. The increased battery capacity and range provide peace of mind before every adventure.

The New bZ4X Battery EV is marketed at a price of Rp 799 million. Meanwhile, the New Urban Cruiser is Rp 759 million OTR Jakarta.
