Parking areas for Toyota and Lexus electrified vehicles are available at MOI and two other malls, with their locations listed below.
KatadataOTO – To support the convenience of environmentally friendly vehicle users, Toyota has inaugurated a special parking area for environmentally friendly vehicles from Toyota and Lexus at Mall of Indonesia or MOI, North Jakarta.
Users of BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) and PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) can also charge their batteries at this location.
In total, seven units can park in this area, with three spots specifically for 120 kW UFC (Ultra Fast Charging). This allows for faster battery charging.
“Toyota is committed to presenting innovative mobility solutions and providing real benefits for a better customer life in the future,” said Jap Ernando Demily, Marketing Director of PT TAM (Toyota Astra Motor) in Jakarta some time ago.
This is in line with the Multi Pathway strategy implemented by Toyota in the country, which is an approach to bring environmentally friendly vehicles to consumers through several options, namely BEV, HEV, and PHEV.
“We want to ensure that users of Toyota and Lexus electrified vehicles get a more comfortable, easy, and worry-free driving experience,” Ernando emphasized.
It should be noted that Toyota's Privilege Parking Spot and Privilege Charging Spot facilities are currently available in two public areas besides MOI, namely Ashta Mall and Gandaria City Mall.
“Specifically in Jakarta, which has the highest population, we have 120 kW Ultra Fast Charging at several points,” Ernando emphasized.
Thus, it is hoped that these locations can reach consumers in the Central, North, and South Jakarta areas.
Speaking of the supporting ecosystem for electrified vehicles, Ernando explained that Toyota currently also provides charging stations at a number of official dealerships.
“As of today, we have 118 charging station points in Indonesia. We are very committed, with points located at almost all dealerships and some in public spaces,” he said.
Meanwhile, specifically on the island of Java, Toyota is said to have provided 88 charging station points. Seven of them are Ultra Fast Charging.
