KatadataOTO – After receiving a refresh to become the bZ in the North American market, Toyota has once again introduced a new version of the bZ4X called the bZ Woodland.

Later, the bZ Woodland will be sold under the name bZ4X Touring in its home country, Japan.

This is a twin to the Subaru Trailseeker electric car that was already exhibited at the 2025 New York Auto Show.

The model appears identical to the bZ4X, but this time it has a longer body. The cabin space is said to be more spacious but still maintains a five-passenger capacity.

The presence of this model is Toyota's asset to compete globally in the era of electrification and as a form of commitment to supporting environmentally friendly mobility.

Speaking of specifications, the bZ4X Touring is equipped with a 74.4 kWh lithium-ion battery. Not much different from the power storage embedded in the recently launched bZ4X facelift.

Its dimensions are slightly larger than the previous bZ4X with a length of 4,830 mm, a width of 1,860 mm, and a height of 2,850 mm, while its wheelbase is 2,850 mm.

In terms of design, Toyota has actually retained the old identity, namely the black-colored front and rear fenders that were removed on the bZ facelift.

However, its appearance is sportier with the inclusion of roof rails and wheels fully coated in black.

On a single charge, the bZ4X Touring can travel as far as 260 miles or about 418.4  km for the AWD (All Wheel Drive) version.

Toyota claims the battery has gone through several stages of development, can withstand extreme weather, and can be fast-charged in just 30 minutes.

Furthermore, the bZ4X Touring uses the NACS charging standard. So it can be used by consumers on the Tesla Superchargers network.

The AWD type is embedded with front and rear eAxle suspension optimized to maximize power distribution, making the car stable to drive across various road conditions.

Unfortunately, there is no further information regarding the target countries for the bZ4X Touring in the future besides North America and Japan.

However, the bZ or Beyond Zero series still has a chance of being introduced in Indonesia. Considering Toyota Indonesia is committed to bringing at least one more pure electric car to consumers in the country.

Toyota currently only sells one EV (Electric Vehicle) model, the bZ4X. The version offered has not received a refresh since its debut, and it has CBU status or is fully imported (CBU/completely built up) from Japan.
