KatadataOTO – Toyota Sales in 2024 experienced a fairly deep decline compared to the achievements in 2023. This is evident from the data from the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries or Gaikindo.

Based on that data, it was reported that Toyota's retail sales in 2024 only reached 293,788 units, or 33 percent of the national market. This figure is lower than the achievement in the same period last year, which was 325,395 units, equivalent to 32.6 percent of the total market.

The decline in retail was also reflected in the company's wholesales throughout 2024. From January to December 2024, vehicle shipments from the factory to dealers amounted to 288,982 units, or 33.4 percent of the market.

This figure is smaller than last year's achievement of 336,777 units, which gave Toyota a 33.5 percent share of the total market.

Despite experiencing a decline in both retail and wholesale sales, Toyota remains the best-selling manufacturer in Indonesia. In fact, five of their models made it into the top 10 best-selling cars in Indonesia.

Specifically for the Toyota Kijang Innova, its sales even reached 63,676 units, making it the most shipped model to dealers throughout 2024.

Then, the second position is occupied by the Toyota Avanza with sales of 55,838 units. The "car for the masses" is still considered to meet the driving needs of the public making it quite popular.
