KatadataOTO – Honda CB1000GT was officially launched by Honda at EICMA (International Bicycle, Motorcycle and Accessories Exhibition) 2025 in Milan, Italy. The European market gets the first turn to become direct buyers before it is later distributed to the rest of the world.

Honda says its newest flagship sport touring motorcycle uses a high-performance tourer concept, meaning this bike can go fast, farther, and comfortably. This is achieved through a combination of two motorcycle models, namely sport naked and touring, promising both power and handling precision with comfort and practicality for long-distance journeys.

The Honda CB1000GT has a diamond frame design that is believed to accommodate all the advantages mentioned above. Honda admits they made improvements to the seat rail section to enhance riding stability while also prioritizing passenger and luggage comfort.

The chassis is then wrapped in an aggressive grand touring design with a combination of sharp, tapering lines centered on the headlamp.

The Honda CB1000GT is equipped with a 1,000 cc DOHC 4-cylinder inline 4-stroke liquid-cooled engine and uses a fuel injection (FI) system as well as throttle-by-wire (TBW). Honda states that the engine tuning of this motorcycle produces smooth power when first opening the throttle, which is expected to contribute to long-distance touring, especially in terms of increased comfort.

To maintain riding stability and comfort, there is an EERA*1 (Electronically Equipped Ride Adjustment) electronic suspension system. It is said to be able to recognize riding conditions based on various data such as body position measured by a six-axis IMU (inertial measurement unit), engine control data from the ECU (electronic control unit), and wheel rotation speed. Its damping can remain continuously active, following the contours of the road being traveled.

The Honda CB1000GT is also equipped with a number of advanced features that support superior riding in various situations. Such as the choice of Standard, Sport, Rain, and Tour riding modes, each of which can specifically optimize the engine's output characteristics.

Additionally, there is a quick shifter to change the riding system automatically; the rider does not need to pull the clutch except when starting or stopping the engine. This function helps reduce rider fatigue when riding in the city or over long distances.

The CB1000GT is also equipped with Honda RoadSync*2, where the rider can use Bluetooth to connect a phone to the motorcycle and use hands-free functions for things like phone calls and road navigation.
