KatadataOTO – Honda WN7 was actually first introduced at EICMA (Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo Motociclo e Accessori) 2024 as the EV Fun Concept. Exactly one year later, Honda took a step forward by starting production and marketing it at EICMA 2025.

Hans De Jaeger, Senior Vice President of Honda Motor Europe, mentioned at the launch that Honda remains committed to reducing carbon emissions across all its products by around 2040. This certainly presents a challenge in creating environmentally friendly vehicles through EVs.

"Advancing electrification as the core of its environmental strategy while continuing to develop ICE technology. In the future, Honda will expand its range of electric motorcycles," said Jaeger at the launch.

For motorcycle enthusiasts in Indonesia, the concept version of the WN7 was seen firsthand at IIMS in early 2025. Honda can be said to be taking a big step towards the era of electrification.

This motorcycle itself has the first sport-style design launched by Honda to enter production and sales. The appearance is quite good and tends to be futuristic, capable of providing a quiet and vibration-free riding sensation.

The Honda WN7 is equipped with an 18kW electric motor paired with a 9.3 kWh lithium-ion battery. Honda states that this EV motorcycle has a total weight of 217 kg.

Honda also mentions that this production version of the EV motorcycle can travel 130 km on a single charge. And it is compatible with CCS2 fast charging.
