KatadataOTO – Towards the end of the year, the Piaggio Liberty S launches for busy urban bikers. Presented as a premium scooter, its body is designed with typical Italian elegance.

Mobility in notoriously congested urban areas is said to be best suited for practical vehicles. The Piaggio Liberty S offers responsive performance, a comfortable riding position, and an elegant design.

This makes the model a faithful companion for daily journeys. Several improvements have been made to provide a better riding experience than the previous model.

“The differences can be found in the plastic materials, frame, saddle (seat), rims, and mirrors,” said Ayu Hapsari, PR & Communication Manager of PT Piaggio Indonesia, during the launch in Jakarta (10/12).

To provide a different riding experience, the handlebars of the Piaggio Liberty S have been made higher. There is a height increase of 2 cm.

This change makes the rider more comfortable on every journey.

Then, the use of a 16-inch front wheel and a 14-inch rear wheel is said to provide stability on various road surfaces.

Furthermore, to further indulge users, there is a 5-inch digital LCD screen. As a result, riders can monitor important information about the vehicle.

Furthermore, Piaggio Indonesia offers the MIA (Multimedia Integration Architecture) accessory option. This allows users to stay connected with their smartphones.

The features offered include receiving incoming calls, music, and monitoring trip data directly.

This is said to suit the lifestyle of urban communities who want to always be connected.

It was mentioned that to add the Piaggio MIA package to the Liberty S, a fund of around Rp 1.7 million is needed. This figure does not include installation costs.

To support performance, the Piaggio Liberty S is equipped with a 125 cc single-cylinder SOHC 3-valve engine.

The unit's powertrain is believed to be capable of producing 10.3 hp at 7,250 rpm. Meanwhile, the vehicle's peak torque is believed to reach 10.7 Nm at 5,550 rpm.

Meanwhile, the rear section relies on a single shock absorber. However, there are 5 levels of stiffness adjustment.

The Piaggio Liberty S is marketed at a price of Rp 39.5 million for the Jakarta area. This motorcycle is sold in two color options, namely Grey (Grigio Materia) and Blue (Blu Ardesia).
