KatadataOTOQJMotor is showing their commitment in Indonesia. One way is by establishing their own factory.

Now, the production facility is nearing completion, allowing them to assemble their two-wheeled vehicle lineup.

“So for the factory itself, we have a plan to launch in January 2026,” said Budi Kurniawan, VP of Branding & Marketing Communication at PT QJMotor Industry Indonesia in South Jakarta, on Monday (15/12).

However, what is certain is that the QJMotor factory in Cikarang, West Java will start operating in early 2026.

Furthermore, the brand from China will focus on producing 250 cc motorcycles early next year.

For example, the QJMotor SRV 250 Libero, SRV 250 AMT, Fort 250, and Fort 250 Adv.

"I also hope this happens quickly (the inauguration), because many things will happen once we have a factory or go through CKD," Budi affirmed.

For your information, the QJMotor factory has a production capacity of 150 thousand units per year.

The figure above is not only to meet the needs of domestic consumers. They also intend to export to the Asia-Pacific market.

Therefore, they claim to have prepared various strategies to attract consumers.

"There will definitely be changes, it could be in technology or other things," Budi concluded.

He also hopes that the various QJMotor products will be well-received by consumers in the country.

It should be noted that some time ago, Budi admitted that QJMotor had invested up to 10 million US dollars, or equivalent to IDR 165.9 billion, to build the factory in Cikarang, West Java.

“Of the 10 million US dollar target, we have already spent 5 million US dollars,” he said.

Of course, the presence of the QJMotor factory in the country will have a significant impact on the domestic automotive industry.
