KatadataOTO – The All new Honda Vario 125 is here to complete the lineup of matic scooters. The product's appearance looks fresher.

On the other hand, Astra Honda Motor (AHM) has confirmed that their two-wheeled vehicle does not use the enhanced Smart Architecture Frame (eSAF).

“The frame used is not eSAF, we use a pipe frame (tubular frame),” said Hikaru Yokomura, Vario 125 Large Project Leader, Honda R&D Southeast Asia in Cikarang, West Java.

Yokomura explained that the inclusion of this pipe frame was a decision made to suit and complement the engine's needs.

This means the powertrain of the all new Honda Vario 125 is considered a single unit, in pursuit of lightness, balance, and suitability for daily use.

“So it complements the engine used, as a single package,” he continued.

Of course, Yokomura's statement about retaining the tubular frame is part of a strategy to meet the public's needs.

Thus, the all new Honda Vario 125 can be relied upon for various activities, such as urban mobility and others.

“I considered not only the engine, but also the combination with the existing frame,” Yokomura added.

He also hopes the all new Honda Vario 125 can continue to capture the attention of many people and receive a positive reception from consumers in the country.

So it can achieve success like its predecessors, despite retaining the tubular frame.

“To make it lighter and to adjust the lightness for the model itself, we equipped it with the engine that is currently in use,” he affirmed.

As a reminder, the all new Honda Vario 125 retains its 125 cc liquid-cooled engine and is equipped with eSP technology.

It is claimed to be able to produce up to 11 hp and can also deliver a peak torque of 10.8 Nm.

Honda states the fuel efficiency of the all new Honda Vario 125 is claimed to reach 51.7 km per liter, making it suitable for urban communities.

“That is what made us decide to use this engine,” Yokomura concluded.

For your information, the CBS-ISS variant has three color options, namely Advance Blue, Advance Matte Red, and Advance Matte Black.

The CBS type comes in three color options, namely Sporty Mint, Sporty Red, and Sporty Black.

Finally, the Street variant is offered in three color choices, starting from Street Black Coral, Street Black Purple, and Street Black White.

All three are combined with different wheel colors, making them appear more attractive and eccentric.
