KatadataOTO – Pertamina continues to focus on handling complaints from motorists in East Java. They do not want the problems experienced by people's motorcycles to recur in the future.
For this reason, the state-owned enterprise claims to have inspected hundreds of public gas stations (SPBU) in Surabaya and the surrounding areas.
“In East Java, as I recall, there are around 700 gas stations. The last time I was there two days ago, we had already inspected around 560 of them,” said Simon Aloysius Mantiri, President Director of Pertamina, as quoted by Antara on Tuesday (11/11).
The inspection conducted by Pertamina aims to ensure the quality of the fuel meets specifications. This is important to prevent a similar incident from happening again.
Simon further confirmed that from the inspection results, no anomalies were found. All Pertamina products are in accordance with regulations.
Therefore, the Pertamina executive stated that the public does not need to worry about the quality of Pertalite.
“We are continuously improving ourselves by checking the quality, we ensure it. Ultimately, it is the public who must receive the best service,” concluded Simon.
Nevertheless, Pertamina has still established a complaint post. And has partnered with 32 partner workshops spread across the East Java region.
If people experience problems with their vehicles after refueling with Pertamina fuel, they can visit these workshops. Do not forget to bring the receipt or proof of purchase.
The receipt is needed by Pertamina to show the location of the fuel purchase. This allows Simon to send a team to inspect the location of the incident.
“This is part of our effort to accommodate all public feedback. We do not deny that this incident occurred, but at the same time, we are also conducting checks,” Simon affirmed.
For your information, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) did not find any water content in Pertamina's Pertalite fuel.
Specifically at Pertamina gas stations in the Tuban and Surabaya regions, after complaints of sputtering motorcycles there.
As a reminder, some time ago Bahlil Lahadalia, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, asked Pertamina to take immediate responsibility.
Bahlil also required Pertamina to cover repair costs, if it is found that residents' motorcycles were indeed damaged after refueling with Pertalite.
The minister serving President Prabowo Subianto mentioned that the government would not hesitate to impose strict sanctions on any parties who commit violations.
