Astra Otoparts Breaks MURI Record for Most Oil Changes

KatadataOTO – Astra Otoparts Tbk, together with PT Shell Indonesia, has successfully achieved a new milestone. The two collaborated to break the Indonesian Record Museum (MURI) record for simultaneous car oil changes across the largest network of workshops.

In breaking the record, at least 2,595 cars had their lubricant changed at around 403 Shop & Drive locations in Indonesia. This achievement is claimed as a milestone for the company in developing the nation's automotive sector.

“This record achievement symbolizes our commitment to providing vehicle maintenance services through the Shop & Drive network,” said T. Martogi Siahaan, Director of Astra Otoparts (24/08).

Meanwhile, Kartika Pelapory, Vice President of Marketing Lubricants for Shell Indonesia, revealed that the collaboration demonstrates the commitment of both companies to developing the industry in the country.

“We hope this achievement can further support the public's enthusiasm for vehicle maintenance while strengthening trust in Shell Indonesia as a reliable travel partner,” he added.

In addition to breaking the record, Astra Otoparts is also offering a special promotion for people who purchase Shell Helix Astra. Customers only need to pay Rp170,845 for a 4-liter Shell Helix Astra lubricant package (5W-30, 10W-30, and 10W-40 variants).

Interestingly, this price already includes the oil change service fee across the entire Shop & Drive network. This number was chosen to symbolize the commemoration of independence day, which falls on August 17, 1945.

It should be noted that Astra Otoparts and Shell Indonesia have been collaborating since 2013 and have received a positive response from the public. This is because vehicle owners can purchase lubricants without having to doubt the product's authenticity.

The choice of lubricants offered is quite diverse and can be adapted to the vehicle's needs. Ranging from Shell Helix Astra Premium 0W20, Shell Helix Astra 5W30, Shell Helix Astra 10W30, Shell Helix Astra 10W40 to Shell Helix Astra LCGC.

Not only that, customers are not limited to changing lubricants at official outlets. The service can now also be performed outside the workshop, making it easier for customers to maintain their cars.
