KatadataOTO – Bridgestone doesn't just focus on sales. They also show concern for the environment.
This was proven by BSAPIC (Bridgestone Asia Pacific, India, China), which successfully won two prestigious awards at the 17th Global CSR & ESG Summit & Awards 2025.
First is the Best Environmental Excellence, awarded for Bridgestone's global efforts in preserving biodiversity.
This includes various initiatives from BSAPIC, such as the mangrove project and Bridgestone Indonesia's Sanggabuana project for habitat restoration of various species and tackling deforestation.
Next, there is the 'water boy' initiative from Bridgestone Thailand. It aims to restore wildlife ecosystems and expand the water supply in drought-affected areas.
Third is the Green Goal project from Bridgestone India. They promote species conservation at the Indore and Pune plants.
The second award is Best in India. It is a recognition of Bridgestone India's broader sustainability initiatives, including the contributions of the Green Goal project.
“We are honored to receive the Best Environmental Excellence and Best in India awards at the Global CSR & ESG Summit & Awards 2025,” said Paul Choo, Chief Human Resources Officer, in an official statement on Wednesday (12/03).
Paul explained that these two awards mark an important achievement in their vision to become a sustainable solutions company for consumers and society.
The tire manufacturer stated its continued commitment to protecting the environment and empowering communities, in line with the Bridgestone E8 Commitment and the UN's sustainable development goals.
“These awards mark the 17th and 18th wins for BSAPIC at this prestigious event over the last eight years, since 2018,” he continued.
He also stated that they always want to make a real impact through environmental progress, improving education, and expanding opportunities to empower communities.
“We will continue to look for new ways to contribute to a sustainable and inclusive future,” Paul affirmed.
