KatadataOTO – Reckless driving by buses on the road has happened again. This time, it was carried out by two drivers from the bus company (PO) Damri.
Citing the Instagram account @dashcam_owners_Indonesia, two Damri buses were driving in close succession on the Tol Ngawi–Kertosono Toll Road on December 25, 2025.
This action was certainly very dangerous for other road users. Especially since one of the buses performed a dangerous maneuver.
It was seen cutting into the right lane. Then, the two Damri buses drove very close to each other to hand over a package.
After that, the car behind, which was recording the video, attempted to overtake the two large vehicles.
However, a dangerous action was taken by one of the drivers on the left. He immediately cut to the right.
Nearly causing an accident with the recording car. The driver's action was certainly very dangerous.
Seeing the reckless driving above, Damri provided a clarification through their official Instagram account.
“Damri apologizes for the circulating dashcam video of the Damri fleet on the Ngawi–Kertosono Toll Road,” wrote @damriindonesia, Monday (29/12).
It was further stated that they are always committed to maintaining safety, professionalism, and service quality across all operational lines.
They also revealed that the driver in question has been given a severe sanction, so as not to repeat the mistake.
“And was given a suspension from duty for six months, in accordance with company regulations,” they continued.
In addition, Damri also plans to conduct an internal evaluation. This is important to strengthen the discipline of the drivers.
Then instill a culture of driving safety. So there will be no more reckless driving on the road by Damri bus drivers.
“Damri appreciates the public's attention and is committed to continuously maintaining safety,” the bus company affirmed.
Of course, the incident above is very concerning. Because the drivers of large vehicles were negligent of the safety of other motorists.
Especially since it was done on a toll road. It is very risky and could cause a fatal accident between vehicles.
This should be a concern for many parties. Including drivers of large vehicles such as intercity and interprovincial buses.
Considering they carry many lives. Therefore, the safety of passengers and other road users must always be maintained.
