Motul Invites Workshops and Mechanics to Better Understand Vehicle Lubricants

KatadataOTO – PT Motul Indonesia Energy (MIE) held an event titled 'Gaspol Jateng DIY – Merbabu 360 with Motul & Ipone'. This event aims to strengthen relationships with partner workshops and mechanics in the Central Java and Yogyakarta regions.

They revealed that this is the company's first event held for the Central Java and Yogyakarta region, so it's natural that the enthusiasm was very high. A total of 40 Motul partner workshops and mechanics attended the event.

"This event is not just about riding together, but it is an important moment to strengthen our relationship with our workshop and mechanic partners in the Central Java region," said Welmart Purba, Managing Director of PT. Motul Indonesia Energy in his official statement.

With a Ride & Camp concept, the participants started their journey from two departure points, namely Salatiga and Muntilan, before gathering at the Merbabu 360 Camp Area to enjoy a camping session together.

Interestingly, the participants also gained new knowledge about Motul lubricants. They were given the opportunity to participate in a product knowledge session and an interactive Q&A with the Motul Indonesia Technical team.

This is important because the technicians will gain new knowledge, especially regarding products and engine maintenance for both daily use and high-performance motorcycles.

Moreover, in early October 2025, they launched a new product for 2-stroke motorcycle engines, namely Motul 710 2T. The product is claimed to provide high performance while also offering protection against wear at high temperatures.

“Motul 710 2T uses 100 percent Synthetic with ester. It provides maximum protection against wear at high temperatures,” explained Welmart.

He also explained that Motul 710 2T is equipped with anti-smoke formula technology. The new Motul oil can minimize smoke and residue formation. It can also make the engine cleaner, so users remain comfortable using their vehicles.

“This new formulation allows Motul 710 2T to offer flexibility for use in various types of 2-stroke motorcycles,” Welmart explained.
