KatadataOTO – Car Free Night will be held starting at 18:00 WIB and is expected to be attended by thousands of people. To ensure the event runs smoothly, the DKI Jakarta government has provided at least 36 parking areas.

The locations are in office building and shopping center areas. Therefore, it is hoped that the public will not choose to use illegal parking as it will obstruct traffic.

“There are 36 parking locations along Sudirman - MH. Thamrin and Panglima Polim streets with a capacity for 21,132 motorcycles, 22,306 cars, and 182 buses," said Syafrin Liputo, Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency.

Nevertheless, the public is encouraged to use public transportation such as the MRT and LRT. This is because both modes of transport will continue to operate until January 1, 2026, at 2 AM.

Meanwhile, for TransJakarta, service hours will also be extended until January 1, 2025, at 2 AM. However, there will be route adjustments due to road closures.

The traffic flow closure is planned to start from the Patung Kuda area to the Bundaran Senayan. Entertainment stages will be set up at these locations to welcome the new year.

Therefore, the public is advised to adjust their travel times to avoid getting stuck in traffic. It is also a good idea to look for alternative routes so that mobility can continue as normal.
