However, Toyota is still keeping information about the future acquisition plan for Neta tightly under wraps.

Neta's Fate in Indonesia

As a reminder, one of Neta's dealerships in the Kelapa Gading area, North Jakarta, has officially closed. This facility had been in operation for less than two years.

The dealership was the first outlet inaugurated by Neta during its debut in Indonesia on November 9, 2023. The North Jakarta area was chosen because it was considered strategic.

“This business decision does not affect Neta Auto Indonesia's commitment to supporting the growth of the electric vehicle industry in the country,” said Frietz Frederick, Brand PR and Digital Senior Manager of Neta Auto Indonesia, when contacted by KatadataOTO some time ago.

Frietz further stated that the closure of the Neta Kelapa Gading dealership was a mutual decision and continues to prioritize the interests and continuity of after-sales services.
