Ju Hun Lee welcomed the government's appreciation for Hyundai's commitment to developing Indonesia's automotive industry.
“The support from the Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang and the ministry officials is a great motivation for us to continue contributing to the growth of the automotive sector in Indonesia. We hope the presence of the STARGAZER Cartenz and STARGAZER Cartenz X as ‘The Real Indonesian Car’ made for Indonesian roads can provide a better mobility experience for the public, while also strengthening the foundation of domestic production,” said Ju Hun Lee, President Director of PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia.
Launched on July 23, 2025, as a World Premiere, the STARGAZER Cartenz and STARGAZER Cartenz X are produced directly at the PT Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (HMMI) facility.
The name “Cartenz” is inspired by Cartenz Peak, the highest point in Indonesia, which reflects high standards of quality and toughness. With a Local Content Level (TKDN) of more than 40 percent.
The presence of the STARGAZER Cartenz and STARGAZER Cartenz X strengthens STARGAZER's position as the car of choice for the Indonesian people, complementing the lineup of other locally produced Hyundai models.
Moreover, Hyundai consistently demonstrates its long-term commitment through continuous efforts to present future mobility solutions.
One of these is by building an integrated electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia, supported by a total investment of USD 3 billion. To complete the customer experience from the process of buying, owning, to selling a vehicle, Hyundai also presents the myHyundai Care program as an additional benefit for customers.
