Looking at the Gaikindo data, Nissan is no longer even distributing units from the factory to dealers, recording zero units.

Not only in Indonesia, Nissan's sales in its home country have also declined. Towards the end of May 2025, it was reported that they offered their employees early retirement.

Other negative rumors have often circulated. Such as Nissan's plan to sell its assets, including its office. Yet, their office location is considered strategic and has a value of more than 100 billion yen or around Rp 11.3 trillion in rupiah.
