Registered in Indonesia, Toyota Vios Hybrid Launches First in Thailand

Meanwhile in Indonesia, sedans are not a popular type of vehicle. However, Toyota recently introduced the Corolla Altis Hybrid GR Sport at the GIIAS 2025 event to expand its electrification lineup.

It seems Toyota still sees consumer interest in sporty sedans priced under Rp 900 million.

Currently, the most popular sedan in Indonesia is actually an electric one, the BYD Seal.

Toyota Vios Hybrid Registered in Indonesia

In Indonesia, the latest generation of the Toyota Vios has been introduced but is not yet equipped with hybrid technology.

It is possible that PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) will bring the Vios Hybrid to the country with a more competitive price tag compared to the Corolla Altis Hybrid.

This is because the Vios Hybrid is already listed in the Regulation of the Minister of Home Affairs (Permendagri) of the Republic of Indonesia Number 7 of 2025.

The name Toyota Vios 1.5 Hybrid CVT (NYC100R-TEXHB) is listed with a manufacturing year of 2025. The Motor Vehicle Sales Value (NJKB) for that product is Rp 325 million.

After that, there is the Toyota Vios 1.5 Hybrid CVT GRS (NYC10R-TEXGB) which has an NJKB of Rp 351 million.

For comparison, the Price of the Toyota Vios Hybrid in Thailand is offered from 719,000 baht to 769,000 baht. In rupiah, this is equivalent to Rp 360.2 million - Rp 385 million.
