KatadataOTO – Toyota is increasingly launching environmentally friendly vehicles, especially in the European market. After the bZ3X in China, the Japanese manufacturer is introducing an EV (Electric Vehicle) version of the C-HR, positioned below the bZ4X.

However, it is mentioned that its range is longer than the current bZ4X in Indonesia, as it can travel 600 km on a single charge.

“This car has been developed from the compact SUV prototype introduced by Toyota in 2022, while also carrying over the key qualities behind the C-HR's success,” read an official statement from Toyota Global, quoted on Wednesday (12/03).

For your information, the C-HR was previously one of Toyota's hybrid cars in the compact SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) segment. In Indonesia, the C-HR was once sold but is now available on a spot order basis.

The electric version of this model is introduced under the name C-HR+. Its posture is still identical to the C-HR Hybrid, but it looks sportier and is built on the e-TNGA platform, which is specific to Toyota's electric cars.

Its security system is supported by a suite of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) features, namely Toyota Safety Sense, which includes safety functions like Blind Spot Monitor and Adaptive High-beam System Headlights.

Speaking of performance, Toyota offers two options that can be chosen according to consumer needs. Battery options are available in 57.7 kWh and 77 kWh capacities.
