Then there are two drivetrain variations. The FWD (front-wheel drive) type produces a peak power of 164 hp with the 57.7 kWh battery or 221 hp if you choose the 77 kWh battery configuration.

Meanwhile, the AWD (all-wheel drive) version offers more robust power, up to 337 hp, and allows it to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds.

The presence of the C-HR+ adds to Toyota's lineup of electric cars in the global market. Unfortunately, it is not yet known when it will be marketed in Southeast Asia.

It is not out of the question that Indonesia could be a potential candidate, especially considering that most electric cars in the country are SUVs and are quite popular with consumers.

Additionally, PT TAM (Toyota Astra Motor) has revealed that a new electric car model will be introduced for Indonesian consumers.

If launched, the Toyota C-HR+ has the potential to become a rival to the Chery Omoda E5 in the same class.

However, Toyota needs to consider the price if it is interested in marketing it here, as the majority of Chinese electric cars in the same segment are offered in the range of Rp 400 million and above.

For comparison, Toyota currently has only one electric car model in Indonesia, the bZ4X. It is still fully imported from Japan with a price tag above Rp 1 billion, while its potential rival, the Omoda E5, starts from Rp 400 million.
