Next, there is one UX300e unit produced from August 2021 to September 2022. The potential problem is a possible malfunction of the electric cabin heater.

“Due to the limited durability of the heater, there is a possibility that the electric heater may malfunction if exposed to pressure for a long period, preventing it from functioning properly,” wrote Toyota's official statement.

Then, 18 other models need an inspection of the Parking Assist ECU, a part of the Panoramic View Monitor (PVM) that displays the rear view of the vehicle.

The software in the ECU can cause the image to freeze briefly when the driver shifts into reverse, within a certain time after the engine is started.

“The second condition is that the rear image does not appear on the next startup if the ignition is turned on and off within a certain period. This condition can increase the risk of a collision when the car is reversing,” the statement continued.
