KatadataOTO – Piaggio Indonesia has once again added to its line of automatic Vespas for the Indonesian market. Most recently, they launched a new variant, the Officina 8.
The name Vespa Officina 8 comes from a legendary experimental department at Piaggio in Pontedera, Italy.
From this place, revolutionary works were born that shaped the history of Vespa, especially in the global automotive world. It was where engineers and designers turned interesting ideas into masterpieces.
An exclusive blue and gold pin with the inscription ‘Piaggio 8’ on their work uniforms became a symbol of prestige for selected technicians in the most secret and admired department at the factory.
Now, Piaggio is reviving this legendary heritage through the Vespa Officina 8. It offers automotive enthusiasts an opportunity to be part of the history of this manufacturer from Italy.
Additionally, the new model is based on the Vespa Sprint and GTV. In other words, for both the Sprint and GTV models, consumers in the country can choose the Officina 8 variant.
“We are very enthusiastic about bringing the Vespa Officina 8 to Indonesia. It's a celebration of the creativity and passion that have shaped Vespa since its inception,” said Marco Noto La Diega, Managing Director and Country CEO of Piaggio Indonesia, in a written statement on Thursday (28/08).
Marco revealed that the automatic Vespa features a distinctive color, Blue Officina 8. It's a blend of industrial blue with a touch of Brass Matte Metallic Finish.
It offers an impression that evokes the industrial atmosphere of the past, representing the work uniforms of the employees there.
Moreover, it is also equipped with wheels featuring a diamond-cut finish, providing a signature Piaggio premium touch.
“It's not just about nostalgia, but about a touch of modern creativity that respects our heritage with great precision and high skill,” he continued.
