KatadataOTO – The big automatic scooter market is buzzing again. This comes after Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM) launched a new product.

The manufacturer with the tuning fork logo has launched the 2025 Yamaha TMAX model for consumers in the country.

The iconic scooter comes with many updates. This elevates the riding quality to a higher level.

“TMAX is one of the most revolutionary models in Yamaha's history,” said Rifki Maulana, Manager of Public Relations, YRA & Community at YIMM on Wednesday (21/01).

Rifki revealed that the Yamaha TMAX successfully combines the riding characteristics of a sport motorcycle with the practicality of a scooter in a harmonious way.

Furthermore, he detailed the updates on the 2025 Yamaha TMAX model, such as the inclusion of a Brake Control System with a 6-axis Inertia Measurement Unit (IMU).

This feature works to prevent tire slippage when the rider brakes while maneuvering by utilizing sensors.

Then, the rims have been improved through a heat treatment process that makes this component stronger and lighter.

Another new feature applied to the Yamaha TMAX is the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), which is installed on the air valve to display information on the speedometer and provide a warning if a tire leak occurs.

Riding comfort on the TMAX is also provided through the grip and seat warmer features, which are available in three levels: low, mid, and high.

The grip and seat warmers can be activated when the engine is running, so the rider doesn't have to worry.

Regarding the dimensions of the 2026 Yamaha Tmax DX model, this big automatic scooter has a length of 2,195 mm, a width of 780 mm, and a height of 1,470 mm.

Meanwhile, the Yamaha Tmax DX's wheelbase is 1,575 mm, with a ground clearance of 135 mm and a weight of 219 kg.

Yamaha equips the Tmax DX with a 562 cc, DOHC, 4-valve, parallel twin-cylinder engine.
