KatadataOTO – There are a number of vehicles that are not affected by the government's implementation of a 12 percent VAT. One of them is the 110 cc automatic scooter.

This certainty can be seen in the Minister of Finance Regulation number 141/PMK.010/2021. It explains the Determination of Motor Vehicle Types Subject to Luxury Goods Sales Tax and the Procedures for the Imposition, Granting, and Administration of Exemptions, and Refunds of Luxury Goods Sales Tax.

In article 22, it is stated that the Luxury Goods Sales Tax (PPnBM) only applies to certain two-wheeled vehicles, namely those with engine capacities from 250 cc to 500 cc.

These will then be subject to a PPnBM rate of 60 percent. Meanwhile, those with an engine capacity of more than 500 cc are set at 95 percent.

Based on the above, it can be concluded that 110 cc automatic scooters will be exempt from the 12 percent VAT implementation on February 1, 2025.

110 Cc Motorcycle Prices Increase

KatadataOTO has summarized the prices of 110 cc automatic scooters in January 2025. This is because the prices of several products on offer have increased.

Take the Honda Beat FI CBS variant for example, AHM (Astra Honda Motor) now sells it for Rp 18,530,000 in the Jakarta area.

Then for the Deluxe type, it's not much different, experiencing an increase of around Rp 100,000 compared to December 2024.

The price of the Honda Beat Street also rose in January 2025. The manufacturer with the flapping wing logo markets it at Rp 19,400,000.

Lastly, for the Honda Beat Deluxe Smart Key, you need to prepare a little more money as it is sold for Rp 19,930,000.

On the other hand, it's not just the Honda Beat FI that has undergone adjustments. However, the price of the Honda Genio also increased after the 2025 new year.

The CBS variant is priced at Rp 19,675,000. Meanwhile, the highest type, the CBS-ISS, can be purchased for Rp 20,295,000.
