Anticipating New Cars Set to Launch at IIMS 2026

KatadataOTO – IIMS 2026 (Indonesia International Motor Show) is ready to be held next week. The annual automotive exhibition is guaranteed to feature several surprises.

Several brands have confirmed they will bring new models to this event, adding more bustle to the 10-day exhibition.

The early-year event always coincides with the Eid al-Fitr holiday. Consequently, it is expected to boost new car sales nationwide.

“Target a minimum of 8 trillion total, including cars, motorcycles, and supporting industries. We are optimistic because the inventory is increasing,” said Rudi MF, Project Manager IIMS 2026 in Jakarta (27/01).

IIMS 2026 itself will be held on 5 – 15 February. It is expected to be enlivened by around 180 automotive brands, including four-wheel, two-wheel, and supporting industries.

Several brands have confirmed they will bring new products to IIMS 2026. One of them, Toyota, through three new electrified models and one in the GR category.

It is known that Toyota has already registered the RAV4 PHEV in the country, so the SUV may greet the public.

In addition, Toyota also confirmed it will start marketing the Veloz Hybrid. This mass-market MPV is said to have already been ordered for more than 4,000 units.

Then Honda shyly will give a refresh to three of its flagship SUVs.

Chinese manufacturer says it is ready to offer premium products to the country. Through the exhibition, they hope the wider public will learn about the latest products.

Chery confirms that they are ready to bring one new product. Although not explicitly stated, it is certain that their new car will feature CSH technology (Chery Super Hybrid).

GAC mentions that they will showcase 7 flagship models, three of which are the most premium.
