Chinese trucks in Indonesia are said to only adopt Euro 2 emission standards and do not undergo roadworthiness tests.

This opens a loophole for consumers to switch, leading to a decrease in commercial vehicle sales in the country.
However, the above opinion still needs to be proven by all parties, considering there are other factors that also contribute to the sluggish market.
Such as business owners who do not yet need to rejuvenate their fleets, as the units they own are still in roadworthy condition.
Let's not forget the economic situation that has not improved, making business actors reluctant to spend their money.
On the other hand, the government has cut a number of budgets at both the central and regional levels. Automatically, strategic projects are potentially hampered or stopped.
Thus, purchases of Mitsubishi Fuso, Hino, and other brand trucks throughout 2025 have decreased.
For your information, Chinese trucks enter Indonesia through an investment scheme, allowing investors to import commercial vehicles as completely built-up units.
These trucks from China are also said to not meet the technical requirements applicable in Indonesia, such as roadworthiness tests.
This condition creates unfair competition, as imported products can offer much more competitive selling prices.
