Has Happened Twice

For your information, this is not the first time Shell's fuel stock has been scarce. A similar situation occurred some time ago.

Around January to February 2025, Shell gas station operations were disrupted. The culprit, of course, was the fuel scarcity.

A number of Shell gas stations reported having no fuel stock for several weeks. As a result, drivers had difficulty obtaining products from the company with the yellow scallop logo.

The price indicator usually displayed at the bottom of the Shell sign was also not available, or in other words, empty.

Furthermore, a sign was placed at the entrance of the gas station indicating that the stock of V-Power and Super at that filling point was still empty.

Not long after, or more precisely on February 6, 2025, the availability of Shell fuel slowly recovered in several locations.

“Shell Super, V-Power and V-Power Nitro+ are gradually becoming available again starting today,” read the announcement on the @Shell_Indonesia Instagram account.

Of course, the situation above made it difficult for the public to buy Shell products. Thus, they had to switch to using fuel from other gas stations.
