“We see that one of the root causes of congestion in Jakarta is the still-static traffic light settings. This causes spatial inefficiency at every existing intersection,” he concluded.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government wants the public to rely more on public transportation when they want to work or go to school.

“Over the last five years, we have massively improved public transport services. They have been fully integrated, and now we are starting to address how to control the traffic,” Syafrin concluded his statement.
