KatadataOTO – Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) has started delivering the Honda Step WGN e: HEV. They did this at GIIAS 2025.

Dozens of Honda hybrid car units were handed over to buyers today, Saturday (02/08).

"We are very grateful for the enthusiasm and trust from all of you. Today we are handing over 20 units of the Honda Step WGN e:HEV," said Shugo Watanabe, President Director of HPM.

He expressed his happiness with the warm reception from the public after the Honda Step WGN e: HEV was officially launched, as it has managed to attract many consumers.

Moreover, the hybrid-powered four-wheeled vehicle is claimed to be suitable for various activities, from going to the office to traveling with family.

"Enjoy the new experience with the Honda Step WGN e: HEV. This car is not just for reaching a destination, but also for growing with your family," Watanabe continued.

The Honda Prospect Motor executive expressed his pleasure in handing over the Honda Step WGN e: HEV to loyal customers.

For your information, it is referred to as an urban family car because it offers efficiency, comfort, and practicality with more than 100 functional features.

Regarding the appearance of the Honda Step WGN e:HEV, the four-wheeled vehicle features a boxy design typical of Japanese Multi-Purpose Vehicles (MPVs).

In addition, the spacious cabin allows the owner to carry many passengers and goods.

Moving into the cabin, a premium impression is immediately felt through the combination of leather and fabric materials, a dashboard with brushed aluminum accents, and warm cabin lighting.

In the powertrain sector, the Honda Step WGN e:HEV carries a 2,000 cc Atkinson-cycle DOHC i-VTEC engine, which is paired with an electric motor.

The combination of the two is capable of producing a maximum power of 184 hp and a peak torque of 315 Nm.

This powertrain is claimed to be sufficient to provide smooth yet powerful acceleration in various road conditions.

Making it more interesting, the hybrid system on the Honda Step WGN e:HEV has three driving modes.

First is EV Drive, which relies fully on the electric motor for low-speed conditions.

Next is the Hybrid Drive mode, which combines the electric motor and the gasoline engine when needed.

Lastly, Engine Drive, which can directly activate the gasoline engine for high speeds efficiently.

As a reminder, the price of the Honda Step WGN e:HEV is around Rp 629 million. This amount is On The Road (OTR) for DKI Jakarta.
