5 Best-Selling LCGC Cars in February 2025, Calya and Sigra Compete

KatadataOTO – LCGC (Low Cost Green Car) cars are still a top choice for people in Indonesia. Especially for first-time four-wheeled vehicle buyers.

In terms of price, these four-wheeled vehicles are offered at a more affordable price compared to other products, starting from around Rp 100 million.

However, the impact of the 12 percent VAT (Value Added Tax) implementation has forced several manufacturers to raise their product prices. In March 2025, prices even increased by up to Rp 11 million for some models.

However, looking at the wholesales figures, or shipments from factory to dealer, for LCGC cars in February 2025, data from Gaikindo (Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries) shows an increase compared to January.

Overall, LCGC car wholesales in February 2025 reached 13,618 units, an increase from the January 2025 figure of only 12,324 units.

Looking at it by model, almost all products saw an increase. For example, the Toyota Agya went from 670 units in January to 860 units last month.

The phenomenon above is certainly related to the launch of the new Agya Stylix type at the IIMS 2025 event some time ago.

For your information, the Stylix variant is an Agya G type with additional accessories from GR Parts.

Another Toyota model with a three-row configuration, the Calya, also saw a sharp increase from 2,678 units to 3,628 units. Previously, this product's figures were below the Sigra.

In February 2025, the Daihatsu Sigra actually experienced a decrease to 3,296 units from 3,603 in January.

The Honda Brio Satya still leads and its wholesales increased from 4,355 units to 4,776 units. This is despite the product having a relatively higher price tag compared to its competitors in the same class.
