KatadataOTO – PT HMID (Hyundai Motors Indonesia) has launched the latest generation of their SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle), the Creta. Three types are offered: Prime, N Line, and N Line Turbo.

Although reluctant to disclose the detailed number of SPK (Vehicle Order Letters) since its launch in January 2025, Hyundai said the enthusiasm is high and the majority of consumers choose the N Line type.

“The N Line is about 70 percent-80 percent, the rest is the Prime. As I mentioned earlier, when a vehicle is first introduced (in Indonesia), the top-of-the-line type will definitely attract consumer attention,” said Fransiscus Soerjopranoto, Chief Operating Officer of PT HMID, when met in Lampung on Thursday (6/2).

According to him, as time goes on, consumers will start to become interested in and buy the lower types with a more affordable price tag.

Hyundai has also anticipated the high demand for the latest generation Creta, especially the highest type.

“So that (delivery to consumers) is not more than one month, we are managing how to maintain 700-800 units in one month,” he said.

Meanwhile, for consumers who are just placing an order now, he estimates the waiting period is at most one to two months depending on the type and available color options.

On a different occasion, the official dealer Hyundai Gowa also revealed the high demand for the new Creta, especially the highest type, the N Line Turbo.

“Because it's a new variant with a Turbo, especially in the 1,500 cc segment, which I call an interesting segment,” said Ferry, Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai Gowa in Cikarang some time ago.

Ferry said that currently not many manufacturers offer models with a similar engine capacity equipped with a Turbo. So it is in demand even though the price is above Rp 540 million.

Although the waiting period can reach two months, Ferry promises consumers that some types and colors like silver, black, and white can reach the buyer's hands in a relatively shorter time.
