KatadataOTO – The all-new SANTA FE has been officially launched to become a new choice for SUV lovers in the country. Hyundai offers two powertrains: Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) and Internal Combustion Engine (ICE).
Hyundai's decision to offer two powertrains has had a positive impact. This is evident from the high number of orders in the weeks since its launch.
As a new option in the SUV segment, the all-new SANTA FE is equipped with various advantages from multiple aspects. The goal is certainly to provide more value to customers compared to its competitors.
In terms of appearance, the all-new SANTA FE has a modern front design thanks to its H-shaped LED Head Lamps. Moving to the side, its appearance is also sleek with the presence of 21-inch wheels on the Calligraphy 2.5 GDi type.
Moving to the rear, the all-new SANTA FE features a large, seamless tailgate. When open, users can enjoy a space to rest during long journeys.
Inside the cabin, luxury is even more apparent thanks to the embedded modern design. Comfort is also maintained as the seats are upholstered in Nappa Leather.
Besides having an attractive and functional appearance, the car is equipped with several compartments, including a Bilateral Multi-Console accessible from the second row. There is also a UV-C Sterilizer Glove Box to ensure personal items remain hygienic.
Hyundai has installed a Panoramic Curved Display consisting of two integrated screens—an infotainment touchscreen and a digital cluster—into the cabin. Each has a considerable size of 12.3 inches.
Meanwhile, in the powertrain sector, Hyundai provides two options for customers to choose from. The first is the Smartstream G1.6T-GDi HEV engine, which combines a 1,600 cc gasoline engine and a turbo hybrid system to produce a maximum combined power of up to 235 PS at 5,600 RPM.
The second option is the Smartstream G2.5 GDi engine, which offers 194 PS of power at 6,100 RPM.
Two transmission options are available: an 8-speed Automatic Transmission for the ICE variant and a 6-speed Automatic Transmission. Additionally, the all-new SANTA FE is equipped with a MacPherson Strut suspension and a multi-link suspension.
To make journeys safer, the all-new SANTA FE is embedded with Hyundai Smartsense technology. It includes several modern features to help the driver control the vehicle safely.
Ranging from Lane Following Assist (LFA) with Hands on Detection, High Beam Assist (HBA), Parking Distance Warning (PDW), Driver Attention Warning (DAW), Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist - Car/Pedestrian/Cyclist Detection (FCA - CAR/PED/CYC), Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA) to Surround View Monitor (SVM).
Not to forget, there is Bluelink, which is a hallmark of Hyundai cars. With this, the driver can control several features from a smartphone, such as opening or closing windows, and get fuel information based on three condition categories: Since Last Reset, After Refuel, and Current Trip.
