KatadataOTO – Honda seems to be preparing a new product for the Indonesian market. They intend to enter the compact electric car segment.
Recently, an Instagram account named @nhsasongko uploaded a photo. In it, an Electric Vehicle (EV) covered in camouflage can be seen.
“In my venue area at Bumi Pakubuwono, Kebayoran Baru,” said Sasongko when contacted by KatadataOTO on Wednesday (12/10).
He stated that the electric car, suspected to be the Honda Super One, was charging in a public place.
After that, this Japanese EV immediately drove on the streets of Jakarta, catching the attention of many people.
Indeed, upon inspection, the camouflaged four-wheeled vehicle looks very similar to the Honda Super One.
This is evident from several parts of the vehicle, such as the slightly boxy body shape.
Then there are the rear lights or taillights, which are also boxy and are already LED, giving the Honda Super One a modern impression.
Not to forget, there is a fairly large window on the rear door, similar or resembling that of the Honda Brio.
Furthermore, this prospective Honda electric car is also equipped with a shark fin-style radio antenna.
Unfortunately, from the photo shared on social media, the front part of the suspected Honda Super One electric car is not visible.
Indeed, some time ago, this Japanese brand opened up the possibility of the Honda Super One being marketed to consumers in the country.
This certainty came after the electric car made an impressive appearance at the Japan Mobility Show (JMS) 2025.
Honda executives stated that their electric four-wheeled vehicle will start being marketed in 2026, starting from Japan, the UK, to a number of Asian countries.
The signal of the Honda Super One's arrival is getting stronger. Because according to a Paultan report, the challenger to the BYD Atto 1 is allegedly undergoing road tests in Malaysia and Thailand.
However, Honda is still keeping the price of the Honda Super One under wraps, including for the Indonesian market.
However, they have opened up the possibility that the Honda Super One will be sold at a higher price than its sibling, the Honda N-One e.
For your information, the Honda N-One e is priced starting from 3.1 million yen or IDR 310 million in the Land of the Rising Sun. Therefore, it is highly likely that the price of the Honda Super One will be around the IDR 400 million range.
