KatadataOTO – The entry of many brands into Indonesia has provided many benefits to the Indonesian people. This is because they can choose products that suit their individual tastes and needs.
However, according to Auto2000, these new brands have not yet proven their durability in Indonesia. Therefore, they remind the public of the risks faced when buying a car from a new brand.
“In the past, you might have bought a car just to try it out, but in my opinion, you can't do that anymore. Because behind the product itself, there are services that must be ensured to run well,” said Anton Jimmy Suwandi, CEO of Auto2000 (05/22).
He revealed that besides the product, customers must also look at the availability of spare parts for maintenance. He also reminded that before buying, it is best to consider emergency services.
“What about in an emergency situation. Are the technicians also ready to perform repairs,” Anton then emphasized.
According to him, in the current conditions, buying a car is not an easy or cheap thing. Therefore, it must be carefully considered so as not to feel a loss in the future.
But he revealed that this challenge has been answered by Toyota through Auto2000. This is because they have at least 177 networks spread throughout Indonesia.
“We also have at least 500 Toyota Home Service units to make it easier for people who have difficulty reaching official workshops,” he then added.
Not only that, they have also collaborated with various companies under the Astra umbrella. Starting from financing offices, emergency services, insurance, to used car dealers.
It was previously reported that Auto2000 has become the dealer that controls 41 percent of Toyota sales in Indonesia. That number has even increased compared to previous years.
“In 2023 and 2024, Auto2000 controlled 40 percent of total Toyota sales. Then in early 2025, it increased to 41 percent,” said Anton Jimmi.
Although the Indonesian automotive market is currently under pressure, they are quite optimistic about getting positive results. Various services and ease of purchase are expected to be a consideration for prospective customers in the future.
