KatadataOTO – At the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2025, a number of manufacturers took the opportunity to increase sales. This included BYD and Denza, who presented their entire lineup in Indonesia.

This was done to make it easier for the public to order the vehicles they need. The impact was positive, as the manufacturer from China received a positive response from its customers.

Impressively, throughout the exhibition, BYD and Denza managed to record more than 2,400 orders.

“We are very proud and grateful for the public's enthusiasm for the BYD Group during the IIMS 2025 exhibition. This achievement inspires us to present quality electric vehicles,” said Eagle Zhao, President Director of PT BYD Motor Indonesia in a press release some time ago.

Unfortunately, he did not explain the detailed number of orders they received throughout the exhibition.

It was previously reported that at the IIMS 2025 event, BYD launched their newest model, the Sealion 7. The car comes with a sharp design thanks to several aerodynamic lines embedded to make the vehicle's appearance seem more dynamic.

For a more luxurious feel, the car is equipped with a 2.1 m2 Panoramic Roof. Meanwhile, inside the cabin, comfort is enhanced as the seats are upholstered in leather.

This car comes in two types: Premium and Performance. Although they have a similar battery capacity of 82.56 kWh, the achievable range is different.

For the Premium variant, the range is 567 km on a single charge. This power is used to operate the electric motor to produce 308 hp and 380 Nm of torque.

With this, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km per hour in 6.7 seconds.

Meanwhile, the Performance type offers greater power at 522 hp and 690 Nm of torque. Thanks to this, the car can reach 100 km per hour in 4.5 seconds with a top speed of 215 km per hour.

That performance sacrifices the range, reducing it to just 542 km.

BYD Sealion Price List

•    Premium IDR 629 million
•    Performance IDR 719 million.
