KatadataOTO – BYD Indonesia has finally released the selling price of the Atto 1, previously known as the Seagull. This compact electric car targets energetic and environmentally conscious young people.

This rival to the Geely Starwish in China features a compact body. In terms of dimensions, it is 3,780 mm long, 1,715 mm wide, and 1,540 mm high.

Interestingly, the wheelbase reaches 2,500 mm. Therefore, the cabin space is still considered spacious.

“A new icon that is not only efficient but also full of character, a reflection of the spirit of energy in motion,” said Luther T. Panjaitan, Head of Public and Government Relations at BYD Motor Indonesia in Tangerang, on Wednesday (23/07).

As an electric car, the BYD Atto 1 is equipped with battery options of 30.08 kWh and 38.88 kWh. Each offers a range of 300 km and 380 km, respectively, based on the NEDC (New European Driving Cycle) testing method.

The BYD Atto 1 is claimed to be able to produce 55 kW or 73 hp of power. Meanwhile, its peak torque reaches 135 Nm.

Powered by two electric motors, this small electric car can accelerate from a standstill to 50 km/h in 4.9 seconds.

The vehicle can be driven up to a maximum speed of 130 km/h.

Thus providing a sense of safety and comfort for its users in Indonesia.

In terms of safety, it comes with 6 airbags, with two in the dashboard, on the sides of the vehicle, and on the outer part of the front seats.

Targeting new users, this electric car is equipped with a parking camera and sensors, making it easier for consumers to perform parking maneuvers.

Born as a car of the modern era, it features many ways to enter the vehicle, including a Key Fob, NFC Card, the BYD App, NFC Digital Key, and Bluetooth Key.

Then, not to forget, as an electric vehicle, the BYD Atto 1 can utilize both AC (Type-2) and DC (CCS-2) charging.

It is claimed that when using a 40 kW charger on the premium variant, charging from 30 to 80 percent takes only 30 minutes.

The BYD Atto 1 in Indonesia is marketed at a price of around Rp 195 million for the Dynamic variant. Meanwhile, the Dynamic variant is sold with a price tag of around Rp 235 million.
