KatadataOTO – The BYD Atto 2 launched in China as the Yuan Up. Some time ago, it was mentioned that the manufacturer would bring the model to the global market.

The European region is the main target for marketing the BYD Atto 2. However, upon investigation, the NJKB (Motor Vehicle Sale Value) for the suspected Atto 2 has also been registered in Indonesia.

Quoted from the Samsat-PKB page on Tuesday (15/07), the car codes believed to be the BYD Atto 2 are SC3E-ETD-1 (4X2) AT and SC3E-STD-1 (4X2) AT.

Referring to this information, there are two Atto 2 variants that will be offered to domestic consumers.

The lowest type, SC3E-STD-1 (4X2) AT, has an NJKB of around Rp 245 million. While the variant above it is around Rp 281 million.

It should be noted that the NJKB is not the final selling price of the vehicle. Because this figure does not yet include other costs such as taxes.

But considering the more compact dimensions of the BYD Atto 2, there is a high chance this car will be sold at a price below the previous model, the Atto 3.

For context, the BYD Atto 2 is sold from around Rp 390 million to Rp 520 million on the road in Jakarta.

Just like the Atto 3, the BYD Atto 2 has a 5-seater configuration, or can accommodate five passengers.

The main difference lies in the specifications. The Atto 2 is equipped with a 42.4 kWh LFP battery which is claimed to offer a range of 311 km on a single charge, while the Atto 3 reaches 480 km.

This configuration allows the car to produce 174 hp and a peak torque of 290 Nm.

Unfortunately, it is not yet known for sure when the BYD Atto 2 will be introduced in the country. Because at GIIAS 2025, the manufacturer from China will be introducing the Seagull.

The BYD Seagull is a small-sized electric car. The product is known as the cheapest EV (Electric Vehicle) in the global market.

According to a salesperson, the BYD Seagull will be sold from around Rp 250 million to over Rp 300 million, depending on the chosen type.
