BYD Atto 2 has been registered in Indonesia, and could be sold to fill the gap between the Atto 1 and Atto 3.
KatadataOTO – Signs of the electric car BYD Atto 2's arrival in Indonesia are strengthening after the Chinese manufacturer decided to market the Seagull as the Atto 1 domestically.
Previously reported, the Motor Vehicle Sales Value (NJKB) of the Atto 2 has been registered on the Samsat-PKB page with the codes SC3E-ETD-1 (4X2) AT and SC3E-STD-1 (4X2) AT.
The lowest type, SC3E-STD-1 (4X2) AT, is listed with an NJKB of around IDR 245 million. The variant above it is around IDR 281 million.
It is not impossible that this Chinese manufacturer will release the BYD Atto 2 with a price tag below the NJKB, considering the Atto 1 was quite surprising with its price.
It should be noted that the Atto series in Indonesia consists of two models, namely the Atto 1 and Atto 3. Meanwhile, the Atto 2 is known as the Yuan Up in its home country.
This electric car features a different design from the previous Atto model line. Entering the compact Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) segment, the Atto 2 has a dynamic shape, at a glance having a posture similar to the Toyota Raize and Daihatsu Rocky.
The BYD Atto 2 is believed to fill the gap between its two predecessors in Indonesia. In terms of price, it is very likely to be below the Atto 3.
In terms of dimensions, the BYD Atto 2 measures L x W x H at 4,310 mm x 1,830 mm x 1,675 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,620 mm. For comparison, it is not much different from the Toyota Raize, which is 4,030 mm x 1,710 mm x 1,635 mm.
The highest variant of the BYD Atto 2 is equipped with a 45.12 kWh capacity battery. It offers a range of 401 km (CLTC) on a single charge.
Powered by an electric motor, it produces 130 kW (174 hp) of power, while its peak torque is claimed to be 290 Nm. The acceleration from 0-100 km/h can be achieved in 7.9 seconds.
