KatadataOTO – The BYD Seal officially became the official car for the Governor and Vice Governor of Bali starting Tuesday (04/03). The selection of this vehicle is claimed to be a commitment by the provincial government to maintain air quality in the country.

Moreover, this procurement is in accordance with the regulations previously set by the central government.

“There is a regulation stating that governors must use battery-based electric motor vehicles. So in this second period, 2025-2030, all offices, hotels, malls, regents, mayors, and the DPRD will be encouraged to use EVs according to the gubernatorial regulation,” said Wayan Koster, Governor of Bali, as reported by Antara (05/03).

He also explained that the car he uses is the BYD Seal and its price is cheaper than usual. In addition, its operational costs are also considered affordable compared to conventional vehicles.

“Using gasoline for the Jembrana-Denpasar distance costs Rp300,000, this one only costs Rp50,000, it's much more efficient,” he said.

Not only that, he also encourages all parties to follow his lead in using environmentally friendly vehicles. This aims to create an environmentally friendly Bali, and it can start with its leaders.

The BYD Seal comes as a sedan with a sporty and sharp design. This car seems to show that its performance cannot be underestimated.

However, the Chinese manufacturer has still included several interesting luxury features. One of them is a large Panoramic Roof that has been designed to reduce heat and UV rays from entering the cabin.

The vehicle's interior comes with Suedette material in Thaumas Black, giving it a luxurious feel. This makes it easier for the driver to find a comfortable driving position.

The BYD Seal is equipped with a BYD Blade Battery (LFP) with a capacity of 82.56 kWh. This large capacity is enough for the car to travel up to 580 km on a single charge.

The stored power is used to drive an electric motor capable of producing 532 hp and 670 Nm of torque. Thanks to this, the car can accelerate from 0-100 km per hour in 3.8 seconds.
