KatadataOTO – At the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2025, BYD officially launched the Sealion 7, which is already equipped with various new technologies. One of them is Intelligent Torque Adaptation Control or commonly called iTAC.

This safety technology relies on various rotation sensors in the electric motor to detect the accuracy of torque distribution to the wheels. Then iTAC can adjust to the driver's needs, making the vehicle easier to control.

BYD claims that the iTAC technology is designed to improve driving safety when on slippery roads. The risk of the car skidding is claimed to be much more minimal, thus providing a pleasant driving experience.

Not only that, BYD claims that iTAC not only excels on slippery road conditions but is also able to handle sudden changes in the road surface. Thanks to this, the vehicle remains stable without requiring more intervention from the driver.

It should be noted that the BYD Sealion 7 comes to Indonesia not just relying on safety features. The Chinese manufacturer has also designed the car to suit the needs of the global community, including Indonesia.

Therefore, the BYD Sealion 7 is designed with a sharp design, especially on the front side. Several aerodynamic lines have been embedded to make the vehicle's appearance seem more dynamic.

For a more luxurious feel, the car is equipped with a 2.1 m2 Panoramic Roof. Meanwhile, inside the cabin, comfort is enhanced as the seats are upholstered in leather.

The BYD Sealion 7 comes in two variants: Premium and Performance. Both use a battery with the same capacity of 82.56 kWh, but their performance and range differ.

In the Premium variant, the car can produce 308 hp of power and 380 Nm of torque. The time needed to reach a speed of 100 km per hour is 6.7 seconds, while its range is 567 km on a single charge.

Meanwhile, the Performance type offers greater power, namely 522 hp and 690 Nm of torque. With this, the car can reach 100 km per hour in 4.5 seconds and has a top speed of 215 km per hour.

However, this high performance sacrifices the range, reducing it to just 542 km.  The BYD Sealion 7 is sold at prices ranging from Rp 629 million to Rp 719 million.
