Chery Confirms Tiggo Cross for IIMS 2025

KatadataOTO – At the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2025, Chery will launch the Tiggo Cross as the main star. They conveyed this plan to the media when presenting the lineup they are bringing to the event that year.

The presence of the Chery Tiggo Cross itself is not too surprising. This is because teasers for the car have been shown several times by the manufacturer.

“The Chery Tiggo Cross is one of the products we will launch at IIMS 2025,” said Irfan Wahyudi, Event Supervisor of Chery Sales Indonesia in Jakarta (04/02).

The model carries the distinctive identity of the previous series, such as a large diamond-patterned grille. However, the headlamps appear smaller than the previous version, making the fascia look sportier.

The grille, named the starry diamond-shaped grille, adds an elegant impression to the Tiggo Cross, inspired by the classic design of Buccellati jewelry.

The most noticeable change on the Chery Tiggo Cross is the taillight design. In the newest type, there is an additional LED bar connecting the rear lights.

The car is rumored to use a 1,500 cc engine capable of producing 144 hp and 210 Nm of torque. This amount is believed to be sufficient to meet the driving needs of the community, especially in urban areas.

He also added that they are ready to present a Plug-in Hybrid technology car. Thus, the choice of vehicles in the country will be more varied.

“We will also feature a PHEV whose range can reach thousands of kilometers on a single charge. This model is here to demonstrate Chery's ability to deliver such technology,” he then added.

Besides those models, the manufacturer from China will also bring other models that are now the backbone of their sales. This way, visitors can get to know Chery's products in Indonesia better 

“Besides providing test drive facilities, Chery is also offering various sales promos, including a trade-in program to get an additional discount of IDR 50 million,” he then added.
