Chery Tiggo 8 CSH Officially Launched, Starting from Rp 400 Million

KatadataOTO – PT CSI (Chery Sales Indonesia) has finally officially launched the Chery Tiggo 8 CSH for consumers in the country on Thursday (15/04).

This hybrid car from China is claimed to be able to meet all the needs of consumers in the country. Especially for daily activities.

"Our answer is the first car built on the CSH (Chery Super Hybrid) platform, namely the Tiggo 8 CSH. This car will be the best PHEV in its class," said Zeng Shuo, Country Director of CSI in Central Jakarta (15/05).

Zeng Shuo is confident that his new product is one of the best hybrid cars in Indonesia.

Therefore, he is optimistic that the Chery Tiggo 8 CSH can get a positive response from automotive enthusiasts in the country.

"It can be used for inter-city travel amidst minimal infrastructure. I believe this will be a mobility revolution for consumers in Indonesia," he continued.

In terms of design, the Chery Tiggo 8 CSH looks quite elegant. Not many chrome ornaments are embedded on the exterior.

Its signature Chery grille is silver-colored, matching the accents on the roof rail and window frames.

Entering the cabin, the interior feels luxurious and neat. Like many recent Chinese cars, many feature control buttons have been moved to the head unit.

There is a large center console with a storage compartment underneath. On top, there are two cup holders, a wireless charger, and a knob to change driving modes.

The transmission is absent from the center console, moved to a stalk located behind the right side of the steering wheel.

The driver's seat adjustment is electric, making it easier to find a comfortable driving position.

The Chinese manufacturer also includes a large, sprawling sunroof, adding a spacious and luxurious feel to the Chery Tiggo 8 CSH's cabin.

Speaking of the powertrain, the Chery Tiggo 8 CSH carries a 1,500 cc turbo engine supported by an electric motor and an 18.3 kWh battery.

It is claimed to have a maximum power of up to 342 hp and a peak torque reaching 525 Nm.

This is claimed to make the Chery Tiggo 8 CSH an ideal choice for people who want to own an environmentally friendly vehicle. Because as a PHEV, the Tiggo 8 CSH does not rely entirely on electrical energy.

The embedded features also support driving safety, including a 540-degree camera, ISOFIX, and 14 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) features.
