KatadataOTO – After the Tiggo 8 CSH (Chery Super Hybrid), the Chery Tiggo Cross Hybrid is believed to be coming to Indonesia soon.

The GIIAS (Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show) 2025 automotive exhibition is a potential venue for the Chery Tiggo Cross Hybrid's domestic debut.

For your information, in Indonesia, the manufacturer has only introduced the gasoline engine version of the Tiggo Cross. Meanwhile, the hybrid variant was launched earlier in Malaysia.

“It's a product that is popular in other countries like Australia. We also saw it launched in Malaysia yesterday,” said Zeng Shuo, President Director of PT CSI, when met in Bekasi some time ago.

News of the Chery Tiggo Cross Hybrid's arrival has indeed started to circulate after the Tiggo 8 CSH's debut, especially ahead of GIIAS 2025.

If it comes to Indonesia, the Tiggo Cross Hybrid has the potential to become Chery's first entry-level hybrid car in the country.

In the same class, a competitor with a similar model equipped with hybrid technology is the Toyota Yaris Cross Hybrid.

Regarding the price of the Chery Tiggo Cross hybrid, Zeng Shuo mentioned the price in Malaysia is around IDR 380 million when converted to the rupiah exchange rate.

“We at Chery Indonesia are trying to bring that product to the Indonesian market sooner,” he affirmed.

For your information, the Chery Tiggo Cross CSH is equipped with a 1,500 cc engine that can produce 97 hp and 118 Nm of torque.

It is equipped with two additional electric motors that add 201 hp and a peak torque of 310 Nm, delivered through a DHT (Direct Hybrid Transmission) automatic transmission.

The CSH system in the Tiggo Cross is a conventional hybrid whose battery cannot be charged separately, unlike the PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) Tiggo 8 CSH.

The power storage source in the Chery Tiggo Cross CSH has a capacity of 1.83 kWh. It does not offer extra driving range, but it is claimed to help increase fuel efficiency.

With a full tank of gasoline, the Chery Tiggo Cross CSH is believed to be able to travel up to 1,000 km.
