KatadataOTO – PT CSI (Chery Sales Indonesia) has prepared a number of product lines to be launched to consumers in 2025, most of which are from the Tiggo series. One of them is the Tiggo Cross.

The model is a refresh of a previous product that has been marketed in Indonesia, namely the Tiggo 5X. Although the dimensions are still the same, there are several exterior changes, making it look more contemporary.

“Appearing with a fresh and modern design, this SUV combines the bold aesthetics of the Biometric Tiger Face, which is a modern interpretation of a tiger's face with an elegant touch on the grille inspired by luxury jewelry,” said Mohamad Ilham Pratama, Head of Marketing at PT CSI in his official statement, quoted Sunday (19/1).

The Tiggo Cross still carries the distinctive identity of the Tiggo series, such as a large diamond-patterned grille. However, the headlamps appear smaller than the previous version, making the fascia look even sportier.

The grille, named the starry diamond-shaped grille, adds an elegant impression to the Tiggo Cross, inspired by the classic design of Buccellati jewelry.

The most noticeable change on the model is the taillight design. In the newest type, there is an additional LED bar connecting the rear lights.

“The rear is no less stunning, featuring a firm and strong taillight design that further emphasizes the tiger character which is the DNA of Tiggo,” he said.

Uniquely, there is a Tiger Stripe motif on the taillights, becoming a new identity for the Tiggo Cross.

However, there is no further information regarding the price and launch date. But it seems the Tiggo Cross will be coming soon in early 2025.

For your information, many new Chery products this year will complement the Tiggo series. Besides the Tiggo Cross, there are also the Tiggo 7 PHEV, Tiggo 8 PHEV, Tiggo 9 PHEV, and Tiggo 8 Plus.

All of them fill the SUV segment, a favorite among domestic consumers. Three of them are hybrids, making them PT CSI's first HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle) products in Indonesia.

The Tiggo Cross itself is offered in a hybrid option. If it enters Indonesia and is locally assembled, there is a high chance Chery will register the model to participate in the government's three percent incentive program.
