KatadataOTO – CSI (Chery Sales Indonesia) is preparing a new product for the IIMS (Indonesia International Motor Show) 2025 event. The brand from China will bring in the Chery Tiggo Cross.

The new car brings a number of advantages to attract visitors to IIMS 2025.

“The presence of the Chery Tiggo Cross in Indonesia is part of Chery's expansion strategy in the SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) crossover segment, which is increasingly in demand by the public,” said Mohamad Ilham Pratama, Head of Marketing for CSI at PIK (Pantai Indah Kapuk) on Monday (10/02).

Ilham stated that their decision to bring this product is a tangible manifestation of Chery's response to market dynamics in the country.

It is also a contribution from the Chinese manufacturer to accelerate the growth of the automotive industry in Indonesia.

“We believe that with its advantages in various sectors, such as design, safety, technology, and a spacious cabin, the Chery Tiggo Cross will become a new star in the Tiggo Family as well as the country's SUV market,” Ilham continued.

In terms of appearance, the new Chery car adopts the Tiger Philosophy design language as its basic design or DNA.

This can be seen in the headlights. They are slanted with three blades inside, resembling a tiger's claws,

Meanwhile, below, the horizontal DRL lights are said to represent a tiger's fangs.

The bold impression of the Chery Tiggo Cross is further strengthened by the presence of a large, diamond-cut design grille.

Moving to the interior, this car offers comfort for both the driver and passengers. This is because the cabin is quite spacious and is equipped with premium soft-touch materials.

Furthermore, to enhance comfort, the Chery Tiggo Cross is equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity systems.

Not to be missed is the integrated entertainment screen and meter panel, measuring 10.25 inches. The Chery Tiggo Cross also comes with an electric sunroof and a high-resolution 360-degree camera.

As for the powertrain, the Chery Tiggo Cross relies on a 1,500 cc engine. It is claimed to be able to produce 144 hp and a peak torque of 210 Nm

Unfortunately, CSI is not yet willing to reveal the price of the Chery Tiggo Cross, as it will only be announced during the IIMS 2025 event this coming Thursday (13/02).
