Chery to Build 40 New Concept Dealerships in Indonesia

KatadataOTO – Chery has confirmed it will open 40 new dealerships in Indonesia to make it easier for customers to purchase and service their vehicles. With this, by 2025 they will operate at least 80 outlets throughout the country.

Of that number, Jabodetabek will be the region with the most network additions. Impressively, there are plans for 16 new outlets in that location.

“The new dealerships will use a new concept that makes their appearance more premium than the current ones,” said Zeng Shuo, Country Director of PT Chery Sales Indonesia, this afternoon (06/03).

He also revealed that the new design will be used in their existing dealerships. However, the changes will be implemented in stages.

“Existing dealerships will use a similar concept, but of course, it will be done slowly. For now, it is only being applied to new dealerships,” he later added.

It was previously reported that Chery is indeed trying to increase its vehicle sales in Indonesia. To achieve this, the Chinese manufacturer must take various measures, including expanding its network in the country.

Not only that, they will also launch several new products to give customers more choices. One of them is the Chery Tiggo Cross, which will go on sale at the IIMS 2025 event.

The car, which targets the youth segment, features sharply designed headlamps paired with a diamond-patterned grille. Chery has also designed the taillights to be more dynamic with the installation of an LED bar

Inside the cabin, the Chery Tiggo Cross offers comfort for both the driver and passengers. This is because the cabin is quite spacious and is already equipped with premium soft-touch materials.

Furthermore, to enhance comfort, the Chery Tiggo Cross is equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity systems.
The Chery Tiggo Cross relies on a 1,500 cc engine and is claimed to be able to produce 144 hp and a peak torque of 210 Nm.

This performance is believed to be sufficient to meet driving needs, especially in urban areas.
